Dr. Tamara Abraham

M.D., MSc., FRCSC, GREI

Vaughan Newmarket
Preservation Fertility

"I love working with people, and I'm passionate about women's health. Being a fertility specialist is a unique and fulfilling job. The fertility journey can be overwhelming for patients, and I really enjoy taking the time to understand their individual goals and values as we build a plan together."

Dr. Tamara Abraham graduated with a Doctor of Medicine from McMaster University and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the University of Toronto. She then went on to complete her Fellowship in Gynecologic Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (GREI) at Mount Sinai Hospital through the University of Toronto.

She has a Master of Science (MSc) in Reproductive Physiology from Western University, where her thesis focused on preimplantation embryo gene expression. Dr. Abraham has many abstracts and publications in peer-reviewed journals. In fellowship, her research interests were focused on improving the fertility patient experience and on patient advocacy initiatives. She received several academic awards and grants during her training including the University of Toronto Medical Humanities Grant in 2022 and the Antonio Cecutti leadership award in 2018.

Dr. Abraham has an inclusive patient practice and welcomes individuals from all backgrounds. She has special interests in the often hard to navigate areas of third-party reproduction and elective egg freezing.

She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) and is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), and the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS).

Outside of work, Dr. Abraham loves spending time enjoying the outdoors with her young daughter.
