Our team is here to guide you through the available funding options with compassion and expertise, ensuring you feel supported at every step of your journey. With expanded capacity at our new Toronto West location, you can also expect shorter wait times and the opportunity to begin treatment sooner.
Common Questions FAQs
Is there a waitlist to receive a funded IVF cycle?
Availability of funded treatments is limited, so we encourage you to speak with our team to understand your options and expected timelines.
Latest Update: On October 24, 2024, the Government of Ontario announced new investments in the Ontario Fertility Program, along with a new Ontario Fertility Tax Credit to expand access to publicly funded fertility treatments, including IVF.
What does the new Ontario Fertility Tax Credit cover?
Ontario’s new Fertility Tax Credit provides additional financial support for individuals and families pursuing fertility treatment. This credit builds on Ontario’s existing Medical Expense Tax Credit, covering 25% of eligible expenses, up to $5,000 per year.
Example: If a privately funded IVF cycle costs $20,000, you may be eligible to receive $5,000 in tax credit support.
Eligible expenses include:
IVF treatments
Fertility medications
Diagnostic testing
Travel for treatment
Can I combine multiple funding sources?
Yes — in many cases, you can combine government funding, tax credits, and employer benefits.
A growing number of Canadian employers are expanding their health plans to include fertility coverage. If your plan offers any of the following, our team can help you navigate your options:
Group Health Plan Coverage
Check whether your plan includes fertility treatments or medications used during treatment. It’s important to review your plan details or contact your provider to confirm specific coverage.
Family-Forming Benefits: If your employer partners with Progyny or Maven, Generation Fertility is an approved clinic partner and can coordinate your benefits directly.
