Your First Visit

Assessments

Once your referral is received, you will be contacted by a member of our intake team.  They will confirm your first consultation as well as provide information on which preliminary assessments are to be completed before your initial consultation.  Most assessments incur no additional costs, but some will.  If additional costs are required, your doctor will review them with you before moving forward.

Consultation

Your initial consultation is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. Your consultation and the majority of your preliminary investigations are covered by The Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP).

During your first visit, you will meet with one of our specialists to establish a thorough understanding of your reasons for seeking fertility assistance. Your doctor will share the results of your initial assessments, and these combined with your complete medical history and an understanding of your specific situation will help develop your personal treatment plan.

Make sure to bring the following to your first appointment:

    Health card

Fertility Care Plan

After your initial consultation, your doctor will determine if there are any additional assessments required.  If not, you and your doctor will discuss their recommended fertility care plan, as well as any associated costs.
