Ontario Expands Access to Fertility Treatments
On October 8, 2025, the Ontario government announced a $250 million investment to expand access to in vitro fertilization (IVF) and other fertility treatments through the Ontario Fertility Program (OFP). This expansion will triple the number of families who can benefit from publicly funded fertility treatment by supporting fertility clinics across the province — including Generation Fertility Toronto West.
As part of this provincial initiative, the expanded OFP will help shorten waitlists and increase the number of IVF cycles available to eligible Ontario residents. Participating clinics in Toronto are expected to collectively deliver approximately 2,250 IVF cycles under this investment, making fertility care more accessible for growing families.
