Support for Emotional and Physical Well-Being

icon

Emotional Well-Being

We’re here to support you.  The range of emotions, including stress, joy, and frustration, is common during this journey. Discussing your fertility experiences with a compassionate professional can alleviate stress and enhance your overall well-being.

Whether you are currently undergoing fertility treatment, dealing with past challenges, or navigating a miscarriage, seeking counselling, individually or with a partner, can be beneficial. Generation Fertility works with a network of empathetic counselling professionals ready to listen, support, and equip you with tools to navigate each phase of your treatment.

Counselling sessions can be tailored to your needs, providing support for as long as you find it helpful. Our aim is to ensure you feel fully supported throughout your entire treatment process.

Physical Well-Being

We may recommend services that focus on your physical well-being to help make sure your body is working and feeling as well as it can during your fertility journey.

Acupuncture

We help many of our patients add acupuncture to their treatment plan, as this technique can help reduce the stress and anxiety associated with treating infertility. Acupuncture has also been shown to be effective in the treatment of various problems related to infertility and pregnancy, including: gynecological and fertility disorders, discomfort during IVF or IUI procedures, and side effects of fertility drugs and morning sickness.

You may have heard of people who swear that they got pregnant after acupuncture, but is there any truth to it? Depending on the causes of your infertility, acupuncture could very well help you conceive.

Research shows that acupuncture can lower stress levels, which could be a factor in your infertility struggles. Stress can affect our fertility hormones in a negative manner, so diminishing stress could positively impact your chances of getting pregnant.

Acupuncture may also help to treat those with thyroid issues that are contributing to infertility, such as hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism.

Consult with our team on the ideal time to start treatments.

Nutritional advice

During your treatment, one aspect that you can take control of is preparing your body for pregnancy through positive lifestyle habits. Important principles include adopting good nutrition, regular physical activity, and avoiding alcohol consumption and smoking. By improving your overall health, you can increase your chances of becoming pregnant and having a healthy pregnancy and birth. Generation Fertility works with a network of registered dietitians who can provide you with insightful practical strategies for adjusting your nutrition to support healthy fertility.
